A bit about me...
Hi, I'm Georgina
A little introduction to me (and my meditation practice).
I've had some interest in meditation for a long time - in fact I recently found a book about it that I picked up on some travels about 20 years ago and it has moved from house to house with me. However I would say my practice was at best sporadic for a long time. I would go away for annual rest and relaxation weekends and come back revived promising to add meditation to my daily life, yet it would inevitably fall by the way side.
In more recent years as I was navigating life as the mum of young child, running my own business and coming out of what felt like neverending lockdowns, I felt like I needed something else to help me cope, to help me not just survive the day-to-day but enjoy it and something that I could also manage in my schedule.
So I returned to meditation and created morning meditation mantra that I did everyday for just 10 minutes and I have to say the impact was huge, more than I expected. Something shifted and I began to feel more calm, content and capable.
I started to learn more about the benefits of meditation and discovered the many different types - developing a fascination of how it can have such an incredible effect not only on stress and anxiety but by strengthening brain function, helping your body to relax and in generally finding more joy in life.
This led me to completing an amazing in-depth teacher training course with the British School of Meditation and creating Meditation & Me to share with you.
